Cupcakes are the best thing ever... a small piece of heaven in a cute pastel paper treasure.
Tanisha has been doing some major cookin' in her kitchen. The Just Add Butter line is the PERFECT fit for this cupcake recipe book. The smell of the cupcakes baking in the oven now overpowers the house... I think our papers should come with scratch and sniff to get the whole experience. I adore cupcakes mostly pretty ones.
Thanks Tanisha for this yummy goodness!! I think I just gained 5 pounds just looking at your yummy book. Did I mention I love cupcakes!!
Adhesive is a staple to us scrapbookers. What would our lives be without it and how many times have you used it for things outside of paper and stickers... like the kids needs some adhesive and all the glue sticks, and tape dispensers are out, or you got a hole in your skirt that needs fixing with no time for sewing, or the good old fix to that open blouse so you don't have a wardrobe malfunction. Whatever your reasons are we know that we all LOVE a good adhesive. This weeks Friday Feature is a little different from the rest and we are showing off some awesome adhesive from a new company called Love My Tapes. We found them out this last CHA in Anaheim and we fell in love from the first swipe down the sample cardstock.
There are no projects falling apart over here... this adhesive is top notch!!
Check out what their Design Team made with our papers...
Thanks Love My Tapes check out their web site andblog for more information.
Today we are going to shift the focus to YOU our readers... we are always on the lookout for great layouts using MLS. We get emails all the time with YOU wanting to show us what you have done... here are a few those creations from our customers. We love you and you all are so talented...
Ann Freeman from the United Kingdom using Away We Go...
Samm Turner (who was also featured on our Twitter) using Imaginary Friends...
Ronda Ronda Palazzari... what a delight it's been to have Ronda on our team this month... her projects are off the chart amazing. The bold colors and the way that she uses the papers and colors to compliment her photos is a true gift. She worked with the Flying High line with a dash of Lil' Critter... STUNNING!!
Ronda's blog is called "Help Me Ronda" which is what I am shouting from seeing her scrappy gift. Check out her other scrappy goodies on her blog, she's got talent.
You all know by now that Bethany Kartchner is a MLS genius. Here is a project that she made using the Away We Go line. It's that such a great idea for the kids, I may have to scraplift this idea. The textures and painting really make the papers pop... even if you don't know how to paint you can make it look like you did by using our papers.
Next her layout is GORGEOUS too. We always enjoy Bethany's style and her doodling.
Way to go Bethany!! (Get it... "Away We Go" Ha Ha). Leave Bethany some LOVE.
This weeks Friday Feature is a tricky one. Some of you are confused by the overlays and are unsure how to use them. Hopefully this Friday Feature will help put those questions to rest.
First I will tell you that they are used similar to a rub on and you can adhere them with a tiny glue dot or any adhesive even a diamond glaze works well too (anything that dries clear). Trim your desired image as close to the image as you can and adhere with adhesive. It's that simple!! They can be used to add embellishments in the background or you can use the words for a title just as you would with regular patterned paper... the only difference is it's clear. Check out how the DT uses them.
I hope that this gives you more inspiration on where to use your overlays. Come on ladies get those bad boys out and use them. Post your overlay project links here or post them on our new Facebook Fan page.
