Product Spotlight: Punky Sprouts

We kicked off September with an introduction to our product sponsor, Punky Sprouts and a fun pumpkin album by Nicole Wragge. All this month our design team is sharing some really creative mini's they put together along with our newest releases. Designer's Tips: I absolutely adored this teenie - beanie sprout album from Phunky Sprouts. There was so much fun to be had and I LOVED the idea of it being mixed media. The canvas page was perfect for adding some Smooch Spritz to and also some acrylic paint. I loved the effect as well when I decided to sew the pictures and paper on. I also used the stamps from the Oasis range to stamp on the canvas which was perfect to soften the background.

The 3d roll up flower and buntings have a gorgeous white core so try sanding them to add some texture to the top on them. It is easier if you sand before you roll the flowers.

Life is too short to wear boring dresses

Designer's tip: Cover: I used Distress Stain in Vintage Photo to quickly cover most of it in a streaky manner . I then misted over the whole cover in Pink Bubblegum Glimmer Mist and that made it quick work creating a plain colored dark base to work with.

I love using diecuts whether it be ready made ( like our MLSB rolled flowers ) or cut using my Cuttlebug. I simply designed this cover first using the ready made diecuts on the Pretty Little Things die cut sheet. Then I looked for previously diecut pieces ( using Cottage Cutz MLSB designs ) to further embellish the page .

Inside Page 2 : I love using Alcohol Inks on Clear Acrylic Pages for a quick, dramatic effect. Here i used neutral colors with some Gold Mixative to allow my pic to "pop ".

Inside Page 3 : For this canvas page, I used a 6x6 circle template and 3 colors of Glimmer Mists to quickly create a suitable background to work with.

Inside Page 4 : The chipboard page was first colored with Broken China Distress Ink and when dry I went over the whole page with Glimmer Glaze and a fan brush.
