Hello MLS friends! Linda here to begin the week with inspriation on the MLS blog with the delightful Secret Garden collection! First is an album I created with a Maya Roads album and Secret Garden's beautiful butterflies and flowers.
This album, with its "butterfly" pages and corrugated cover, was fun to use. I inked all the papers, and centered a die cut butterfly. Some cardboard stickers, a 3D Roll Up Flower and a doubled journaling tag finished it.
I had a lot of fun with this album, and this collection was perfect for some delightful pictures I had of my granddaughters just being kids!
Supplies: I used all of the papers in the Secret Garden collection, the cardboard stickers, Mini Alphabt stickers,Muse Cardboard Letters, and 3D Roll Up flowers and accents. Additionally I used lots of lace, ribbon, doilies, and even a tree I drew myself!
I also created two cards using this collection.
Happy Birthday Card
I am absolutely crazy about dotted paper, so this card was really fun. I used two B sides from this collection, inked everything, and cut two butterflies with a Tim Holtz die. Using one as a shadow, I foam dotted the top and decorated the center with some thick twine, ribbon and a small flower.
Supplies: Secret Garden papers, Sweetie and Dorothy (B sides), Mini-Alphabet letters. Other: three ribbons, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, some twine, and a small pink rose.
Thanks from the Heart card
For this card, I used the Sweetie striped background, some vintage lace, a strip from the Cardboard sticker sheet, some packaged butterfly die cuts for backing the flowered butterflies, and a butterfly stamp. I colored the bacground butterflies with Fired Brick Distress ink, which pefectly matched the floral strip, and used the Sweetie paper for the smaller butterrflies.
Thanks for stopping in to the MLS blog. Be creative and see what you can do with one of the six beautiful collections from MLS!
