Hi, everyone. Carol Theng here and today I want to share with you a mixed media canvas I made with MLS "Aiko" collection. I love this collection especially the Japanese dolls and the clouds with the sakura flowers.
The Japanese dolls reminded me of my daughter. And here in this picture you can understand why. Don't they resemble each other? (Psst.. I cut my girl's hair in this picture and now my hubby banned me from doing that).
I first adhere the different patterned papers using multi medium. Then painted the sides of canvas and edges of the papers.
Here you can see that I also use the negative of the punched paper to reveal another paper behind. Then I apply rubons at the edges of the canvas.
I love my projects to be dimensional so I covered 3 small canvases with papers, punched grasses and also this metal bicycle. In between the grasses, I also adhere some flowers stickers from Aiko cardstock sticker. And I pop up the 2 strips of titles.
I hope you will be inspired to create mixed media projects using MLS collections. They are so cute and sweet!! And do share with us at our Facebook Page once you are done.
Have a great day. Thanks for following us!
