Hi everyone! It's Robyn with you today to share the projects I created with the adorable Up in the Trees collection.
One of my favorite techniques with this collection was fussy cutting, and I trimmed out a tree limb and some birdies from the In the Trees paper to create this layout:
To create a background on the top portion of the layout, I used half of the Fly High scalloped circle paper and layered on a few pieces I cut from the Free as a Bird journaling spots.
I finished it off with some rolled flowers that I topped with Epiphany Crafts bubble caps.
Next I created this layout about the school Sock Hop. I love this photo!
The pinks and blues in the Hearts on a String paper was a great match for the sweet and sassy girls in the photo. I added glitter alphabet stickers onto a journaling spot for the title and topped it with a rolled flower.
To add some balance at the top, I created two pennant swags by mixing the scalloped pennants from the Flower Die-Cuts with some hand-cut pennants I made with the b-side of the Hearts on a String paper. I cut out some of the hearts to put on a few of the banner pieces.
This collection was also a perfect match for my Easter Egg Hunt photos.
More fussy-cutting on this one: I cut out the heart swag because I wanted something light and fun to layer onto the brown scalloped border. I also added a birdie and a music note sticker from the Keepsake sticker sheet.
By using some clouds and a sun (originally a flower) from the Flower Die-Cuts, I was able to create a sunny scene on the page that captured the beautiful day.
Finally, I had plenty of supplies left over to create a simple and sweet thank-you card.
For the flower, I took some of the die-cuts and very loosely wrapped them together instead of rolling. That created a nice wide base for the tighter rolled flower I added to the center.
I had such a great time playing with the bright colors in this collection, and I hope you love it, too!
