Melinda's Tip: To create a unique look to your card and utilize your favourite stamp, try stamping a repeat pattern in different colours across your card. Adding similar colour gems to the stamped image also adds that little extra touch of interest.

 Melinda's Tip: To add a subtle hint to the layout I added a stamped butterfly to the background and whilst still wet I added a touch of glitter.

Melinda's Tip: Stamps don't always need to be stamped onto white cardstock. To blend your stamp image into your project try stamping onto some of the patterned paper from within the project. I created the journaling tag using the background patterned paper and a similar coloured ink and pen for the journaling.

Designer Tip: I really wanted this photo of my daughter to shine.  Since it has a lot of bright blue on its background, I avoided using any of the blue papers and instead layered several of the beautiful, soft green and pink papers.  That in itself really made the photo stand out.  Still, there wasn't enough "wow" for me, so I made a quick visit to my ribbon stash.  By adding a layer of blue trim topped with a blue triple bow, I was able to achieve color balance and make the photo "pop".

Designer Tip: I always try to use an odd number of items in my embellishment clusters.  For some reason, an odd number of items (3, 5, 7, etc.) seems to be more pleasing to the eye than an even number.  Have you ever noticed that appetizers in restaurants tend to come in sets of odd numbers (i.e., 5 cheese sticks)?  Following this rule, my card includes an odd number of flowers.  Give it a try!

Erin's rainbow of ribbon

Do you ever see a technique on a layout you just love? We had lots of people comment on just how much they loved designer, Erin Yamabe's rainbow of ribbon on her layout created with our Enchanted collection. This beautiful project was created for our booth at the summer CHA trade show. Here's a closer look and some tips from Erin today.

Designers tip: Focusing on the gorgeous papers and the new rolly diecuts, I created a template for a partial rainbow, traced, and cut out different papers to add to the background.  Adding those new flowers I think really makes them pop.  I added just a bit of stitching and sewing to showcase the papers even more.

Love the layouts...thanks for sharing : ) I would be thrilled to have the Sprinkle Glazed stickers and I would use them on a chipboard album I am making for my daughter. The K would be perfect to use on the cover since her name starts with that letter. I love using letters like this as a focal point on a cover of an album or card...hope I am the lucky winner : )
