Hi MLS fans, it's Melinda here with you for this week's Tuesday tutorial and I'm crossing my fingers that you enjoy today's steps in showing you how to put together a scented clothes hanger for your wardrobe using the gorgeous new collection 'Lovely Day'.
Step 1: Using the Flower Ring circle I turned it over and roughly drew a spiral and then added scallops to use as a template for cutting. You seriously don't need to be too exact with your drawing abilities as the flowers look lovely regardless. I think that's why I like them so much!
Step 2: Cut your template out.
Step 3: Usin g a large quilling tool I rolled the flower starting from the outside and rolling in towards the centre.
Step 4: Allow your flower to unravel slightly and then adhere to the baseplate using a hot-glue gun. You can roll the edges of your outer petals to achieve a neater flower.
Step 5: Using the patterned paper 'Let the Sunshine' cut a 4" birdcage from the Cricut cartridge 'Straight From the Nest'.
Step 6: Place the birdcage onto a self-adhesive backed piece of coloured foam.
Step 7: Cover the entire piece of foam in baby powder to remove the adhesive areas that are not covered by the birdcage and then cut around the cage leaving a small margin of approximately 2-3mm.
Step 8: Punch a whole in the top of the birdcage where you will thread a ribbon and tie a small bow then add some pearls to add extra pizzaz.
Step 10: Time to decorate the hanger. Add your scented foam birdcage to the hanger and then cover the ribbon with the large flower using a hot glue gun for best results. I added quite a few of the smaller 3D Roll-Up Flowers and a few punched leaves to finish off the overall look.
Thanks for stopping by today!

What a sweet project and awesome tutorial on the flower! I like how you used the sticky back foam on the bird cage die cut. I sometime use Perfect Pearls to cover adhesive on sticky stuff if it's going to show for a little added touch of shimmer. Love sparkle! :)
Thank you for sharing! :)
